These crispy potato pancakes taste delicious with sour cream or apple sauce. These potato pancakes aren’t diet friendly, low calorie or gluten free but they are delicious comfort food.

Firstly, wash, peel and grate the potatoes. Pour ice cold water in it and set it aside for about 10-15 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, break the eggs. To it, add kashmiri red chilli powder, black pepper powder and chopped green chillies. Mix it well.

Add the flour and mix it well. It should be lump free.

Drain out the water from the grated potatoes. Wash it with chilled water. Squeeze out all the water from the potatoes. The potatoes should be dry. Add it to a large mixing bowl. To it, add the egg mixture and mix it well.

Add the finely chopped onions and salt and mix it well. Do not let the mixture sit for long before using it. Use it immediately.

Heat a few tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Scoop the potato mixture into the pan, flatten and round the pancake with the back of a spoon. Fry each side for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

Delicious Potato Pancakes are ready. Serve immediately while it is hot with a dollop of sour cream or apple sauce on the side.
