Ingredients

Pre 4-5 hr cooking 15 mins
5 servings
  1. For batter
  2. 2 cup raw rice
  3. 1 cupboiled rice
  4. 1/4 cupurad dal / black lentils
  5. 2 tspfenugreek seed
  6. For sweet paniyaram
  7. 1 bowlbatter
  8. 3/4 cupshredded coconut
  9. 3/4 cupjaggery
  10. 1/4 tspcardamom powder
  11. as neededGhee or oil

Steps

Pre 4-5 hr cooking 15 mins
  1. 1

    Soak rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds for 4-5 hours.

    Grind the soaked ingredients and until smooth and thick consistency then add salt mix it well and keep aside. Let it ferment overnight.

    Use clean grated or powdered jaggery free from dust and stone.

    Take the jaggery in a pan add little water and melt it filter and boil thick consistency. Then cool it and use batter.

    For sweet paniyaram:

    Mix all the ingredients together to a thick batter.

    Grease the paniyaram pan and add few oil or ghee in the moulds heat up well.

    Turn the flame to medium and fill the mould 3/4. Cover with a lid and cook.

    When the base is set flip then to the other side and cook until done.

    Serve sweet paniyaram hot and enjoy.
