Pita bread/minced meat sauce

I've always had my flat bread with either peppersoup or tea. This time around I decided to have a change of something to pair it with. This minced sauce was really a perfect match..do give it a try.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a bowl, mix the ingredients except the oil. Give it a quick stir. Add water gradually to form a soft dough.add the oil at this stage and knead well. I didn't give the amount of water used because that will completely depend on the type of flour used. Cover the bowl and allow to rise for about 30mins.
- 2
Once the dough has risen, punch to remove excess air. Knead for about a minute or so and then divide into 16 balls. Dust the working surface with some flour and knead each ball flat and round. It doesn't have to look perfect. Heat your non-stick pan and cook both sides until golden brown. Rub some melted butter on both sides and store in a food warmer.
- 3
For the sauce, heat the vegetable oil in a large sauce pan or pot. Once hot add the onion and fry until translucent.add the ginger and garlic pastes, and the pepper and fry until the raw smell in the garlic is gone. Now gently add the minced meat and give it a very good stir.cook for about 7mina, stirring at intervals.
- 4
Add the thyme, curry powder, turmeric powder, salt, seasoning, ginger and garlic powder.give it a very good mix to combine everything together. Now add the potatoes and carrots. Mix again.add the water And stir and cook until the water is almost absorbed. Mix your cornflour with some water and use it to thicken the sauce, based on your preference. If you want it thick add as much cornflour as needed. Serve the sauce with your pita bread or rice, yam or even white rice. Enjoy!

Perfect Pita Bread Perfect Pita Bread
This is a small batch recipe for 3 medium pita breads. The secret to getting them to puff up into pockets is a super hot oven (at least 260°C/500°F). I recommend sticking to white flour for this because it seems whole wheat flours don't do a good job of rising well (which means no pocket!).Great for falafel, or any kind of sandwich fillings you like. Easy Pita Bread in a Food Processer Easy Pita Bread in a Food Processer
I was making "eterno"'s bagels and was really impressed by the idea of using a processor to make them. I wondered if it was possible to make pita bread the same way, and after much trial and error I finally arrived at this recipe. In Step 4, make sure the seams are facing up when rolling the dough out with a rolling pin. Stretch it out gently. If the dough doesn't rise enough, open it up with a knife. When using an electric oven, bake at 300℃ for best results. Recipe by Akkorin mama cookpad.japan -

The One With The Lebanese Pita Bread The One With The Lebanese Pita Bread
Living in the United States has its positives and negatives. One of the negatives of living in the United States is missing out on easy access to the most common traditional things my country has to offer, like our bread. Pita bread is an essential item in every Arab woman's kitchen, so today I made this for my husband because my loving husband eats our bread with E-Bhi-E-Aur-Y-T-Hai-I-And-G so I researched a lot of recipes till I came up with my own that felt like the perfect fit for me. I hope you like it! ❤️ Fey Hankir -
Gyoza Bread Using Shiso Soy Sauce Gyoza Bread Using Shiso Soy Sauce
I often add shiso leaves to gyoza dumplings, but I wanted to add Rinrin's shiso-garlic soy sauce to gyoza filling. I tried making "oyaki" style breads with the filling, and the results were really delicious! The filling is delicious if you add shiitake mushrooms, canned tuna, cellophane noodles and so on too.-Be sure to seal the edges well after filling the dough.-Please adjust the amount of water added when steam-cooking the breads as well as the cooking time as needed.-Warm up any leftover cold bread in an oven or toaster oven and they'll be just as tasty. For 8 pieces. Recipe by Renbasu cookpad.japan -
