Ingredients

1 cupkabuli chana, soaked in water overnight for 12 hrs,
4 tbspoil (any),
1/4 tspzeera,
For Gravy Masala
1medium sized onion chopped,
2medium sized tomato 🍅 roughly chopped,
8 garlic cloves (depends on size),
1/2 inch inch ginger chopped,
as per tasteSalt
1/2 tsphaldi powder
1 tspred chilli powder
2 tspdhania powder
1/2 tspgaram masala powder
1/2 tspanardana powder, (optional)
1/2 tspamchur powder
somechopped dhania patta for garnish,

Wash soaked chole nicely, strain it, keep aside. Take a pressure cooker, add chole, salt, 1/2 tsp oil & 2 cup water (adjustable).

Place the lid, give 8 whistles on high flame. Lower the flame, cook it for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally. Take out in a bowl, keep aside.

Clean the pressure cooker, dry it, add oil, heat it. Moderate the flame, add zeera, let it splutter.

In the mean time grind all the ingredients of gravy masala with very lil water to a fine paste, add in the oil. Mix it well.

Add little water to avoid burning. Cook it covered on low flame until oil has oozed out. In goes salt, mix it well.

Now add haldi powder, dhania powder & red chilli powder, mix it well. Again add little water to avoid burning, cook it until oil has surfaced.

In goes garam masala powder, anardana powder & amchur powder, mix it well. Cook it for 30 sec. Add in boiled chole, stir it nicely.

Add water if required. Place the lid, give 2 whistles on high flame, lower the flame, cook it for 5 minutes.

Turn off the flame, allow it to depressurise naturally. Open the lid after 5 minutes.

Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with sliced onion & chopped dhania patta..

Can be served along with Paratha or Poori.
