Shrimp fried rice is a dish of cooked rice that is stir-fried with fresh shrimps and assorted vegetables and flavoured with savoury Asian sauces and seasonings . It is a quick one pot meal that can be prepared within few minutes . Ingredients

4 servings
  • 3 cupscooked Jeera Rice
  • 200 gmsshrimps
  • 1carrot diced
  • 1/2 cupbeans
  • 1/2capsicum chopped
  • 1/4th cup frozen peas
  • 2cauliflower florets chopped
  • 1onion chopped finely
  • 7-8 clovesgarlic minced
  • 1/2 tspginger grated
  • 1/2 tspgarlic paste
  • 1 tbspsoy sauce
  • 1.5 tspgreen chilli sauce
  • as requiredTo taste salt
  • 1 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1/2 tspajinomoto (MSG)
  • 3 tbspoil

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat water in a pot and boil 1.5 cups rice in it.Boil till 80% cooked.Remove from heat and strain water.Spread rice in a broad bowl or a plate and set aside to cool. Heat 2 tsp oil in a wok.Smear salt,black pepper and pinch of turmeric in the cleaned and deveined shrimps and fry lightly.Set aside.

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in the wok.Fry chopped cauliflower till light brown. Add 2 tbsp more oil and saute minced garlic and grated ginger. Add chopped onion.Saute and add chopped beans and carrots. Sprinkle salt and garlic paste.Stir fry and add chopped capsicum and thawed frozen peas.Add shrimps,soy sauce, chilli sauce, black pepper powder,ajinomoto and toss.

    Add the sautéed cauliflower,cooked and cooled rice.Stir-fry everything till well combined.
