  • 1big Brinjal/Baingan
  • 3tomatoes
  • 2whole dry red chillies
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped green chillies
  • 2 tbspmustard oil
  • as per requirementSalt

  1. 1

    Coat the baingan and tomatoes with oil and roast on coal-fire until well cooked and charred.Charr the red chillies separately on fire.

    Remove the skin when hot/able to handle and mash the pulp thoroughly with hand/masher

    Add all the other ingredients and again mash it pressing and mixing with hand/masher

    When the bharta becomes smooth and consistent,add mustard oil and mix again.Adjust the seasoning as per taste and relish each bite with a hot bread of your choice
