As soon as winter arrives, sweet and red carrots come into season, and everyone makes delicious Gajar Ka Halwa at home or buys it from sweet shops. Making halwa usually requires a lot of effort, but today we'll make an easy Gajar Ka Halwa recipe without grating the carrots, using a pressure cooker.
Steps
- 1
Wash and peel the carrots, then cut them into small pieces. Add the carrot pieces to the pressure cooker along with 1 tablespoon of ghee.
- 2
Close the pressure cooker lid and cook until you hear 2-3 whistles. Let it cool, then mash the carrots.
- 3
After mashing, add the milk and cook on the stove.
- 4
In 10-12 minutes, the milk will evaporate. Then add the sugar. The sugar will dissolve completely and release water. Cook until all the water evaporates.
- 5
Once the water has evaporated, add the cream. The cream will dry up in a short time and release ghee. The halwa made in the pressure cooker is ready to eat.
- 6
Sprinkle chopped almonds on top and serve.
