This Beef Stew Recipe is perfect for the colder weather! Tender beef is simmered in a crock pot until melts in your mouth tender. It’s comfort food heaven!

Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 2 lb (1 kg)boneless stewing beef, cut into 1-inch (2.5cm) cubes
  2. 1/4 cupflour
  3. 1/2 tspsalt and 1/4 tsp pepper
  4. 2 tbsp (30 mL)vegetable oil
  5. 8 cups (2 L)water or beef broth
  6. 10 cups (2.5 L)cubed fresh vegetables (potatoes, carrots, celery, onions)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    In a bowl, combine salt, pepper, and flour.
    Coat the beef cubes in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
    Heat vegetable oil in a 5 qt (5 L) saucepan over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes in batches.

    In a bowl, mix Club House Beef Stew Seasoning with water.
    Transfer the browned beef to a slow cooker and pour the seasoning mixture over it.

    (8 hr version)
    Cook on high for 5 hours
    then add the vegetables and continue cooking for 3 hours.
    Cook for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.

    (10 hr version)
    Cook on high for 7 hours
    then add the vegetables and continue cooking for 3 hours.
    Cook for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
