Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make the crust. In a Tupperware container, add all of the batter ingredients and close the lid. Shake until the batter looks like the picture. (It's okay not to worry too much about how the dough comes out.)
- 2
Measure a piece of plastic wrap to be bigger than the size of the tart dish and place the dough from Step 1 on top. Place another piece of plastic wrap on top of the dough. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough until it is just a bit bigger than the dish. (To make sure the crust is easy to remove from the dish after pre-baking, grease the dish with a little bit of oil.)
- 3
Take off the top wrap and place the dough into the tart dish. Remove the remaining plastic wrap and tightly pack in the dough. Using a fork, poke holes in the dough as air vents.
- 4
Scatter baking beans on top so that it doesn't rise when blind baking. Bake for 15 minutes in a 200˚C oven.
- 5
In a bowl, add all of the ingredients for the egg mixture and mix with a whisk. (Don't let it foam.) Cut the enoki mushrooms in half. Cut the bacon into large but easy to eat pieces.
- 6
When Step 4 has finished baking, add the filling ingredients from Step 5. Gently pour the egg mixture over the filling ingredients. (If the crust begins to rise, hold it down while it's still hot and is should flatten down.)
- 7
In a 180˚C oven, bake Step 6 and you're done! I recommend eating it with ketchup.

I came up with this recipe because I wanted to make a quiche that didn't use a pie crust. It also tastes great with spinach. You can make small individual quiches if you use a gratin dish or ramekins, and then bake them in the toaster-oven.The baking time will vary according to your oven, so keep your eye on it while it's baking. If it seems like the quiche is going to burn, cover the top with aluminium foil. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -

I wanted to serve something like this for brunch. I made mine easily with frozen puff pastry. It's easier if you bake the puff pastry on the day before making the quiche. I recommend using a chunk of cheese; preferably parmigiano reggiano or comte! It really makes it different from when you use store-bought grated cheese or easy melting cheese. The 'Best Before' date on the loaf of bread was close, so I decided to make some tasty quiches.Instead of bread, you can use frozen pie crust. Alternatively, you can pour the quiche filling into a ramekin (small oven-proof dish) without bread. It is nice! With or without bread crust, your choice! Recipe by Tomomaki0313 cookpad.japan -

We don't stock heavy cream at home, so this is our family's usual quiche made easily without it.It makes it easier to remove the spinach's astringency by soaking it first in water then microwaving. Of course you can also boil it. For 4 servings. Recipe by Blue-Island cookpad.japan -
Crustless Asparagus & Bacon Quiche (low carb, lower fat, high protein) Crustless Asparagus & Bacon Quiche (low carb, lower fat, high protein)
This is a low carb lower fat quiche, made so by skipping the crust and replacing heavy cream with a blend of low fat cottage cheese and 1% milk. The focus of this dish is the asparagus so I intentionally used a light tasting cheese, mozzarella, to maintain the typical texture of a quiche but not mask the asparagus flavor.I also use roasted asparagus because that's my family's favorite, but you can cook yours any way you like.
