Dahi Samosa Chaat is a delicious Indian street food recipe and a popular evening snack. This chaat comprises of crunchy samosas with a filling of potatoes, cauliflower,green peas and topped with some boiled peas,curd, sweet tamarind chutney,green chutney,few spices and finally garnished with some chopped coriander and sev. Dahi Samosa Chaat is a delicious Indian street food recipe and a popular evening snack. This chaat comprises of crunchy samosas with a filling of potatoes, cauliflower,green peas and topped with some boiled peas,curd, sweet tamarind chutney,green chutney,few spices and finally garnished with some chopped coriander and sev. Serve Dahi Samosa Chaat with curd and chutneys for a special weekend evening snack or at parties which nobody can resist !

To prepare dough,mix flour with salt,baking powder, oil and ghee.Add water gradually to make a smooth but tight dough.Cover with a damp cloth and set aside for 15-20 minutes.

To make the filling : Chop cauliflower into small pieces.Peel and chop potatoes into small cubes.Parboil green peas and set aside.Heat oil in a pan.Fry chopped cauliflower smearing 1/4 th tsp salt till light brown and soft.Set aside.In the remaining oil fry cubed potatoes in low to medium flame till nearly cooked.Set aside.Roast peanuts till crispy and light brown.

In the remaining oil, sprinkle paanch phoron.When they splutter,saute green chillies and add ginger paste.Saute for 1 minute and add the fried vegetables alongwith peanuts and green peas.Sprinkle turmeric,red chilli powder,garam masala and salt to taste.Saute for 1 minute and add 1/4 th cup water.Cook till moisture dries up and set aside to cool.

For Assembling:
Divide dough into 5 medium sized balls. Apply oil on each peda and roll it thin like a chapati.Cut it from the center and take one half of it and make a cone shape.Add the prepared filling in it.Now smear water on the open ends of the cone. - 5
Press the sides tightly so that they don't open while frying. Heat oil in a pan or wok on medium heat and fry the samosas on medium to low heat, until they turn crispy and golden brown in colour from all sides. Remove on an absorbent paper.

Prepare the chutneys for the chaat. Make tamarind chutney by boiling the paste with sugar or gur to taste.Add ginger powder,roasted cumin powder,red chilli powder and black salt.Boil till moderately thick.Cool and set aside.
For green chutney : Make a paste of 1 cup coriander and 8-10 mint leaves along with 1 tbsp curd,1 tbsp lemon juice,1/4 th tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 green chilli. - 7
For making chaat for 2 servings :
Place 2 fried samosas on a serving plate.Add chilled curd and boiled green peas. Drizzle prepared tamarind and green chutneys. Sprinkle chaat masala,roasted cumin powder and red chilli powder.Garnish with sev,chopped coriander and serve as a teatime snack or as an appetizer at parties.
