Microwaved Vinegar & Apple Dessert

My older sister taught me how to make this! My child has a hard time with the crunchiness of apples, so I mixed it with plain yogurt and I got him to eat them! Adding vinegar seems to up the sweetness? This is also great as an adult dessert.

The apples look good when peeled. When you add in the vinegar, you can pour it in gently and the center will be just fine. When you heat it up it's obviously going to be hot, so open the microwave and let it sit for a minute. You can eat it as is like that or you add it to yogurt or cake batter and bake it. Either or is delicious. For serving 3~4. Recipe by Minarai Mi-ko

Ingredients

3 servings
  1. 1Apple
  2. 2 tspVinegar

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Take the apple and peel it. Cut it into thin wedges. Cut it into your desired size. The small pieces are for my child.

  2. 2

Place the apple into a heatproof bowl and then add in the vinegar. If you add in too much vinegar, then it's going to have a leftover aroma, so try not to overdo it.

  3. 3

Cover it gently with plastic wrap! If you wrap it tightly, the apples will pop, so try not to do that.

  4. 4

Put it in the microwave for 5 minutes at 600 W. Then it's done! If you don't have a lot of apples, cook them for 3~4 minutes.

  5. 5

Apples are in season! Or you can roughly peel and quarter a peach! I made this following the steps from this recipe. It looks just like canned peaches and it's perfectly exquisite. Top with honey and it's delicious!
