My friend Fiona made this on her birthday and it’s the best chilli I’ve ever eaten. @becM helped convert it into a slow cooker recipe. Enjoy!

Steps
- 1
Heat some olive oil. Add diced onion, garlic, chopped chilies, carrot and celery. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- 2
Season with salt and pepper and add spices. Simmer for an hour.
- 3
Brown the mince slightly in another dish and then add to the mix.
- 4
Add some red wine and let it bubble away.
- 5
Add everything to the slow cooker, plus chopped tomatoes, kidney beans, worcester sauce and stock cubes. Cook for 5 hours.
- 6
Add dark chocolate at the end, cook for another 30 minutes.
- 7
Serve with your favourite sides, like guacamole and yoghurt. Maybe some rice or nacho chips!
