Ingredients

  • 2 Cupsshortening
  • 1 Cuppowdered sugar
  • 1 Cupgranulated sugar
  • 2eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tspvanilla
  • 4 Cupsflour
  • 1 tspcream of tartar
  • 2 tspsoda
  • 1/4 tspsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream together shortening and sugars

  2. 2

    Add eggs and vanilla Mix well

  3. 3

    Add remaining ingredients

  4. 4

    Chill dough

  5. 5

    Roll into balls a bit smaller than golf balls.

  6. 6

    Flatten with glass.

  7. 7

    Sprinkle with Sugar

  8. 8

    Bake at 350 on ungreased cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes
