Ingredients

  • For Phulki:
  • GramFlour 250 gms
  • 1/4 tspBaking powder
  • 1 tbspGarlic
  • Wster as required
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbspChilli flakes
  • 1 tbspCumin seeds
  • 1 tspGinger powder
  • 1 tspCarom seeds
  • For Sauce:
  • 1 kgYoghurt
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbspSugar
  • 1 tbspChilli powder
  • 6-8Green chillies chopped
  • 4-5 tbspTamarind pulp
  • For Tarka:
  • 2-3 tbspOil
  • Curry leaves 8-10
  • 1 tbspCumin seeds
  • Large green chillies 4-6 slit
  • 1 tspNigella
  • 1 tspMustard seeds
  • 8-10fenugreek seeds
  • Other ingredient:
  • Oil to fry

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix togethergram flour,garlic and baking powder and make a smooth batter of medium consistency by gradually adding water.

    Keep it a side for 30 minutes.

    Just before frying mix in all the spices.

    Heat oil in a pan.

    Put spoonfuls of batter in round form and fry till light golden.

    Mix together sauce ingredients.

    Fry together tarka ingredients for 2-3 minutes.

    Mix together phulki and sauce.

    Pour tarka all over.
