Steps
- 1
Cut the feta into 2 pieces. The thinner you slice them, the better. Beat the egg with a fork in a shallow dish.
- 2
Dredge the feta pieces in the flour.
- 3
Next, dip them in the beaten egg. It can be a bit tricky for the egg to stick to the flour, so dip them patiently (and carefully so they don't break) several times until the pieces are well coated.
- 4
Finally, coat the pieces with breadcrumbs. Now they're ready to fry.
- 5
Pour enough olive oil into a small skillet to come halfway up the sides of the feta. Heat over medium-high until hot, then add the feta pieces. Once the bottom is golden brown, flip them over. When the other side is golden, remove from the pan.
- 6
Place the fried feta on a plate, drizzle with honey, and serve.
- 7
You can sprinkle sesame seeds on top if you like. I don't prefer them, so I didn't add any. Also, adjust the ingredient amounts if you make a larger batch of feta. Enjoy!
