Tapioca is a starch extracted from Cassava root. It contains a small amount of resistant starch that reduces inflammations and other harmful Bacteria in our gut and promotes beneficial Bacteria. Therefore intake of Tapioca improves digestion, aids in weight gain, promotes heart health and also boosts breast milk production.
This important and gluten free flour is mixed with equal quantities of the Wheat flour and have made these healthy Rotis or Chapatis for Breakfast today.
Trust me folks, they turned out to be super soft and supple. Delicious and melt in mouth.

These Rotis were just amazing. Too soft and silky. Do try these out for your families on any given day. You gonna relish them for sure. Kids would absolutely love them.

Ingredients

25-30 minutes
5 servings
  1. 1 cupheaped Tapioca flour
  2. 1 cupheaped Sharbati Gehun Aata or Wheat flour
  3. 1 tspSalt
  4. 2 tspGhee or Clarified Butter
  5. as neededWater
  6. Oil or Ghee as needed for roasting

Steps

25-30 minutes

    Knead a smooth dough adding all the ingredients to a mixing bowl except the last one. Set aside for a couple of minutes. Use water as required. If it is lukewarm it's well and good. Lukewarm water helps in making the chapatis soft and supple.

    Heat a tawa or a griddle. In the meantime, divide the dough into balls of equal size either medium or small.

    Roll and roast them using oil or ghee as desired. Roast them well on both the sides pressing a little with a clean kitchen towel. Fluffy super soft rotis are done easily in just a few minutes. Serve hot with any side dish for a healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
