Fried Bombay Duck or Bombil Machli with Potato flour is an innovative idea by me and a lovely looking and a simple side dish that goes well with many a meals. It's a great side dish with Khatti Daal or Rasam or Hyderabadi Chaar or any other Curry or Gravy. Not only a side dish, it's actually a lovely starter too. Or it can also be used as a yummy snack as well. I bet the kids would love it too. There is absolutely no smell when it's done this way. Try it for yourselves and check it out. Your loved ones and families as well as friends and relatives would love it for sure.
Easy to make, this is quite a good one. The only thing is it's pungent smell that many a people doesn't like, especially the kids but it's very healthy. As this is dried, it has but natural a lot of Salt. So use it sparingly when you make the Curries or even fry them. Do not use more of it. That's it. And make it on any day for your mealtimes and relish this simple comfort food at home with your loved ones.

Steps
- 1
Cut the fish into desired length pieces. And then soak in clean drinking water for 15 minutes. Later wash and rinse them thoroughly to get rid of dirt and sand. Set them aside to drain.
- 2
Add the required ingredients or the powdered spices to a bowl. Now add the potato starch and mix well. See to it that all the pieces are coated well with the potato flour. Now deep fry few at a time on a medium high heat in enough oil.
- 3
Drain on an absorbent paper. Serve it piping hot to your loved ones squeezed with lemon juice and sprinkled with red chilli powder. Yum! Enjoy!
- 4
P.S - Do not add any chilli if serving to the kids. It's absolutely delicious as it is. Also It's not at all compulsory that red chilli is sprinkled. It's completely optional.
