Simple and Quick Western-Style Boiled Potato Tumbles

This is my aunt's recipe. Japanese-style potato tumbles are also tasty, but sometimes it's nice to add the butter for a different touch.
Adding sake to the water before boiling prevents the potatoes from breaking apart. But the best method is to be careful not to over-boil them.
Season lightly, then add butter, soy sauce, and honey to taste. For 2 servings. Recipe by Sekai tabearuki kenkyuka

Steps
- 1
Cut potatoes into large bite sized pieces and boil them in water with sake. Test with a skewer, and strain potatoes when skewer pierces all the way through.
- 2
Add butter and heat on medium flame. When the butter melts, add soy sauce and honey, and simmer.
- 3
Agitate the pan to coat the potatoes in soy sauce.
- 4
Serve when the liquid has completely simmered away.
