This is how we cook somen noodles in our family.

Boil 2 liters of water in a large pot. Untie the bundles of somen noodles.

Place them in the boiling water and stir with chopsticks to separate. Bring to a boil again. Adjust the heat so that the water won't boil over.

They take 1.5 - 2 minutes to cook!!

When they're done, quickly transfer them into a colander and rinse them with cool water, rubbing them with your fingers as they cool down.
