Rainbow Trout (Sushi Counter-Style Appetizer)

Since the seared dishes served at conveyor belt sushi restaurants are so tasty, I made my own homemade version as a drinking appetizer.
It's ready to eat when the cheese is slightly burned. I use whatever sashimi is cheap. I like it with wasabi and soy sauce but you could also season it with salt and pepper. For 3 servings. Recipe by Hibaasan

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper, then top with cheese.
- 2
Sear the fish with a torch (I bought my blowtorch for ¥1700). As you see, I did this on a pan without turning the heat on.
- 3
Don't sear it too much - just brown the cheese well. I chopped one slice of cheese into nine pieces.
- 4
Voila! I made this seared rainbow trout because it was on sale.

For Parties and Celebrations: Rainbow Roll Sushi For Parties and Celebrations: Rainbow Roll Sushi
Rainbow rolls were only available at pricey sushi restaurants in America. But now these rolls are so popular that you can find it at Japanese fast food restaurants. Because this dish looks so gorgeous and is also very tasty, I ended up creating my own easy-step version to make a lot at home. The sashimi will be easier to roll (and settles in with the rest of the roll) if cut thinly. The key is to arrange the toppings diagonally. You can substitute salmon for smoked salmon if you'd like. Try to use a sharp knife so the cutting will be easier and clean. You can also sprinkle ichimi chili pepper powder on the mayonnaise to make it spicy. For 4 rolls. Recipe by Yuuyuu cookpad.japan -

For Summer! Salmon and Shiso Chirashi Sushi For Summer! Salmon and Shiso Chirashi Sushi
This is a summer version of chirashizushi. This is refreshing and tastes great with yuzu or lemon juice. You can flake the salmon, but it was a pain, so I just roughly flaked it from the filet. I use salmon trout with minimal salt. I also use lots of shiso leaves and sesame seeds. It tastes great if you use 10 or more shiso leaves. For 2 servings. Recipe by commeline cookpad.japan -
Festive Salmon Temari Sushi Festive Salmon Temari Sushi
The thinly sliced salmon I got looked a bit too thin to serve as sashimi, so I used it to make temari sushi, or small ball-shaped sushi.50 g of sushi rice is a bit bigger than bite size. Adjust the amount of sushi rice per piece as desired.Sliced salmon combined with avocado should be delicious too. You can also try using sashimi-grade maguro (lean tuna), scallops, sea bream and so on to make a colorful assortment. Recipe by Mekamahao cookpad.japan -

Inari Sushi (RTP's Homemade Style) Inari Sushi (RTP's Homemade Style)
I've been making these for my kids who have recently acquired a taste for inari sushi.Take extra care not to tear the tofu wrapping.Don't squeeze out all of the broth from the tofu wrapping; keep them juicy. With the remaining broth, add some Japanese dashi soup stock and a bit of grated ginger, then use it as one serving of somen noodle dipping sauce for your lunch.Or be thrifty and reuse it as stewing broth for koya (freeze-dried) tofu, atsuage (thick fried tofu), and shiitake mushrooms. For 10 rolls. Recipe by RTP cookpad.japan
