Amazing Easy Curry Hot Pot

I love hot pots. I think it's great to have hot pots because they're so communal. This one will warm you up, body and soul!

Use any vegetables you like. Adding katakuriko will help mellow out the flavors of the soup. Be careful not to let the sauce burn. When you portion the hot pot into individual servings, don't serve out too much of the soup! Save some of it for the rice porridge at the end. For 4 servings. Recipe by Hatake (Sharan-Q)

  2. 2packets Ready-made curry
  3. 100 mlShiro-dashi
  4. 800 mlWater
  5. 150 mlSoy milk (or milk)
  6. Katakuriko slurry
  7. 3 tbspKatakuriko
  8. 150 mlWater
  9. ーーーーーーーーーーーー
  10. 300 gramsPork (thinly cut for shabu-shabu)
  11. 1Green onion or scallion
  12. Part 2
  13. 1/2Cabbage
  14. 1Broccoli
  15. 1packet Shimeji mushrooms
  16. Part 3
  17. 1packet Pre-cooked rice (or microwaveable rice)
  18. 1Egg
  19. 1Processed pizza cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

These are the ingredients. I forgot to add soy milk!

  2. 2

Cut the ingredients into bite-sized pieces.

  3. 3

Fry the green onion quickly and add to Step 3. Be careful not to let the katakuriko sink to the bottom and burn!

  4. 4

Fry the green onion quickly and add to Step 3. Be careful not to let the starch sink to the bottom and burn!

  5. 5

Add pork and when the colour changes, add the hard part of cabbage, broccoli and other ingredients.

  6. 6

Simmer for 5 minutes and stir constantly so the bottom of the sauce doesn't burn. And it's done!

  7. 7

Enjoy the hot pot and add more ingredients as you eat. Try to leave the soup broth and when you finish eating the ingredients...

  8. 8

...cook some rice in the leftover soup!

  9. 9

Heat rice in a microwave and add to the pot (you could use normal rice or cold leftover rice). Keep stirring over low heat...

  10. 10

7-8 minutes later... Be careful not to let the bottom of the pot burn. When the rice absorbs the soup and starts to look like porridge, you're on the right track.

  11. 11

Turn off the heat. Beat the egg and add to the pan along with pizza cheese. Stir well and let the egg set softly in the remaining heat.

  12. 12

    It's done!!
