This is my favourite subzi which I get to eat rarely. We do not get this vegetable in Kerala and whenever I travel to Gujarat,I tried to find this vegetable and make it. This is very simple and basic recipe.

500 gmMogri
2 tbspoil
1 tspturmeric
1/2 tspAsafoetida
1 tbspred chilli powder
1 tspsalt

Wash and chop Mogri. Take a pan, add oil. Add turmeric and asafoetida.

Add chopped Mogri, red chilli powder and salt. Cover it and cook on low flame. Don't add water. It will be cooked. Once it is cooked and water is evaporated. Switch off the flame. Serve hot with Roti.
