Valentines Strawberry Cake with Chocolate icing

Didn't plan this too well. They all wanted Strawberry but I wanted chocolate and the strawberries I got just the other day were molded so no way! I did the best I could and improvised with the sprinkles. My grandson was walking around the house with a heart cookie cutter so I said gimme that! I need it! So there you go. I can't wait till they see it. They're going to think it's a chocolate cake! 😋😇 Happy Valentines day ya'll 💖

Ingredients

  1. Strawberry cake mix
  2. 3eggs
  3. Vegetable oil
  4. Water
  5. Heart shaped cake pan
  6. Dusting flour
  7. Chocolate Icing
  8. Sprinkles, your choice

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat oven to 325 degrees because I used a nonstick pan

  2. 2

    Place cake mix in a bowl and add the eggs, oil and water then mix thoroughly for 2 minutes then rest for 5 minutes

  3. 3

    Grease and flour the pan

  4. 4

    Pour cake batter into pan and let it settle

  5. 5

    Bake for 28-30 minutes check for doneness using toothpick method. Pull out when ready

  6. 6

    Cool for 10 minutes to release from pan then let cake completely cool before frosting! Enjoy 🥰
