Ingredients

  1. 2.2 lbsseasoned kofta (ground meat mixed with onion, parsley, spices, black pepper, and salt)
  2. 2potatoes
  3. 1onion
  4. Oil
  5. For the sauce:
  6. 2 tablespoonstahini
  7. 1 cuphot water (about 240 ml)
  8. Juice of 1 small lemon
  9. 1 teaspoonpomegranate molasses
  10. Pinchsalt
  11. Pinchground white pepper
  12. 2butter cubes (add at the end after cooking)

Steps

  1. 1

    Shape the kofta into patties. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet and fry the kofta on both sides.

    Cut the potatoes and onion, then add them to the skillet. Sauté them briefly with the kofta, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients together.

    Pour the sauce over the kofta. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt, mixed spices, and turmeric. Cover the skillet and let it cook until done. If the sauce is too thick, add water as needed.

    Once cooked, add the butter cubes and stir gently. Serve with bread. Enjoy!
