Easy Coffee Jelly (with Gelatin)

Enjoy the jiggly texture of coffee jelly! This recipe uses store-bought black coffee for convenience. I created this version because I've been really into coffee jelly lately and wanted to try it with gelatin. I've recently improved it by making it with 1 1/2 to 1 2/3 cups (350–400 ml) of coffee, and it's been a lot of fun. Even my youngest son enjoys a decaf version and feels grown up!
Steps
- 1
Pour 1/2 cup (100 ml) of coffee into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave at 600W for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Be careful, as it will get hot.
- 2
Sprinkle the gelatin over the hot coffee and stir well until dissolved.
- 3
Add the remaining coffee to the mixture and stir well. Chill in the refrigerator until set.
- 4
Top with ice cream, whipped cream, milk, or sweetened condensed milk if you like.
- 5
This time, I mixed and chilled the jelly in a food storage container, then scooped it into serving dishes. Use any container you like to chill and set the jelly.
