This is more Italian-American than traditional Italian cuisine. It's a soup with vegetables and meatballs or sausage. The origin of this recipe: I had this soup at a restaurant and wanted to make it myself, so I adapted it with what I had in the fridge. I noted it down in my diary on January 23, 2012.

My all time favorite soup. Made it over and over till I fell in love with this recipe. The spice makes it mine.

I don’t see any reason why soup has to take all day to make. If you do it the quick and easy way, it is still delicious… I promise! Hubby got sick and I wanted to whip up some soup for him quickly. It came out great!

Easy and delicious!!

I had some leftover ground Lamb and figured that I have never seen a greek wedding soup. I came out great.

As usual I picked pantry items & include meat because I love lean meats. Makes for a complete balanced healthy meal. I also sometimes include 1/4 cup shredded cabbage in this recipe the last min of simmer.
