Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupbutter or shortening
  2. 1/2 cupsugar
  3. 2eggs
  4. 21/2 cupsflour sifted
  5. 1 cupchopped nuts
  6. 3large bananas put through a sieve about a 11/2 cups
  7. 1/2 teaspoonssoda
  8. 2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  9. 3/4 teaspoonssalt
  10. 1/2 cupbuttermilk

Steps

  1. 1

    Cream the shortening slowly add the sugar and beat well

  2. 2

    Add the eggs one at a time beat thoroughly

  3. 3

    Add the bananas and nuts

  4. 4

    Alternately add the dry ingredients and the milk

  5. 5

    Pour into large loaf pan or 2 small ones

  6. 6

    Bake at 350 for 1 hour
