Ingredients

Makes about 24 pieces
  • 1 1/2-2 cupscabbage leaves (about 120-160 grams)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 6 ozground chicken (about 170 grams)
  • 2 teaspoonssoy sauce
  • About 3/4 inch (2 cm) ginger paste
  • About 3 shakes chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 package(30 count) gyoza wrappers
  • as neededPotato starch (or cornstarch),

Steps

  1. 1

    Chop the cabbage into 1/2-inch (about 1 cm) pieces and place in a bowl. Sprinkle with salt and let sit.

  2. 2

    Add the ground chicken, soy sauce, ginger paste, and chicken bouillon powder to a bowl. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Squeeze out excess water from the cabbage and mix it with the chicken mixture.

  4. 4

    Wrap the filling in the gyoza wrappers, making sure not to overfill. Place the wrapped gyoza on plastic wrap dusted with potato starch (or cornstarch).

    Heat oil in a skillet, arrange the gyoza, and cook until the bottoms are golden brown. Add water, cover, and steam until cooked through.

  6. 6

    Once fully cooked, they're ready to serve!
