Adorable 3D Panda Cookies

When my little girl came home from school, I was in the kitchen making cookies. I thought I'd let her guess what kind of handmade cookies I was making. But... she didn't guess it????? She found some partially assembled panda dough in the fridge. Oh no, the surprise was ruined!!! But she was still happy because she got to eat cute cookies. She even said she wanted to share them with her teacher and classmates. You can make these adorable 3D panda cookies without a mold. Just a little kneading and they're done. These cute panda cookies are irresistibly adorable, you have to try them! Steps
- 1
Let the unsalted butter soften at room temperature, then beat it until fluffy. Add powdered sugar and mix well.
- 2
Gradually add the egg to the mixture from step 1, mixing well each time.
- 3
Sift the cake flour and add it to the mixture from step 2. Use a rubber spatula to fold it into a uniform dough.
- 4
Take 150 grams of the plain dough and mix in the sifted cocoa powder to make cocoa-colored dough. ※ Steps 1-4 were done using the cookie dough setting on my home bread machine, making it quick and easy. If done by hand, it will take a bit more time.
- 5
Divide the plain dough into two parts (2:1 ratio), then divide each part into 20 small portions.
- 6
Stack one large and one small piece of plain dough, then press slightly to shape it into a thickness of about 1-1.5 cm.
- 7
For the ears, take 1.5 grams of cocoa dough for each side and attach it to the top of the head. For the arms and legs, take 1 gram of cocoa dough for each side and attach it to the body. (※ Cocoa dough: ears 1.5*2*20=60g, arms and legs 1*4*20=80g)
- 8
For the eyes, take a small amount of cocoa dough, shape it into a teardrop, and press it onto the face. (※ Cocoa dough: eyes 0.25*2*20=10g)
- 9
Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to set.
- 10
Bake in a preheated oven at 320°F (160°C) for about 30-40 minutes. After baking, leave in the oven for an additional 15 minutes before removing.
- 11
- 12
Once the cookies have cooled, use the chocolate pens to draw the facial features. ※ While the cookies are cooling, soften the chocolate pens by warming them in a water bath before use.
- 13
The cookies are about 1/2 inch thick.
- 14
- 15
- 16
Once the cookies are done, you can package them or store them in an airtight container.
