Separating all the purple covers, and discarding all the buds. Remove the thin skin and a centre stem. Cut it into small pieces and put them in buttermilk mixed water. So the colour is retained as white.

Add the chopped coconut with cumin and little water in a mixer jar. Grind it into fine paste

Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard, finely chopped onion, curry leaves and two red chilli. Saute for a minute

Add tomato and fry it into mashy

Add the chopped banana flower, salt and turmeric powder and mix well

Add 1/2 cup water and cover the pan. Cook until the flower cooked well cook it on medium flame

Add the ground coconut paste and mix well until the masala coated well with the banana flower.

Keep cooking until the masala fried well and a nice aroma comes. Turn off the stove and transfer the curry into a plate

Ready to serve with sambar and rasam rice
