Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 3chopped onions into small cubes (or more)
  2. 2tspb butter + olive oil
  3. 1 jarchick peas
  4. 1.5 Lwater
  5. Halfbottle tomato paste
  6. 4big chopped tomatoes
  7. 1-2Chopped green pepper
  8. 2 cupscoarse bulgur washed and drained
  9. 1 tbspsalt + black pepper pinch
  10. 2Maggi cubes (chicken)

Cooking Instructions

    Add olive oil and butter to the pot then add the chopped onions, fry at high heat then add the Maggi cubes, chickpeas and tomato’s after the onion is cooked.

    Add tomato paste and the boiled water, salt and pepper, a bit of cayenne pepper too.

    Wash and drain the bulgur before adding it to the pot and then leave to boil then switch off.

    Tip: The bulgur absorbs the water fast, so better to remove some of the tomato water into a jar to save for adding them later with the meal.

    Plate can be served with Greek sugar free yogurt!
