So, I am seizing the moment. For this week’s #GlobalApron challenge, I chose star anise—because, honestly, how could you resist something that fancy? I paired it with cinnamon for that cozy, familiar hug-in-a-cup feel. Side note: Is it just me, or does star anise actually taste like licorice?

Ingredients

10 minutes
1 serving
  • 1/2 tsploose green tea
  • 1whole star anise, broken into individual pieces
  • 1cinnamon stick, broken into pieces
  • 2 cwater
  • Honey to sweeten

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    In a small pot or teapot, bring water to boil and add the rest of the ingredients

  2. 2

    Stir to mix, then infuse on the heat for 2 minutes then steep off the heat for 5 minutes

    Carefully strain tea into the a cup and sweeten to likeness

Super healthy drink 😋. Been used medicinally for thousands of years but it’s not great for children to ingest.21°C? I dream of it being that warm! We have rain (would love to send some over), gale force winds and a high of 11°C today which is in fact warm for this time of year.
