Happy New Year to everyone! With this recipe, I wish you a better year ahead. These cups are perfect as appetizers, and you can fill them with whatever you like. Here are three filling ideas, but the main goal is to make the cups themselves. The best part is you can prepare them at least 2 days in advance, and once filled and kept chilled, they stay crispy for several hours.

Steps

20 min
  1. 1

    To make the cups:
Melt the butter. Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough, brush it with melted butter, and cut it into 4 strips. Then cut each strip into 6 squares. Stack the squares, offsetting the corners to form a star shape, and press them into the wells of a mini muffin pan. Repeat until you have 12 cups.

  2. 2

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 15 minutes or until golden. Fill them once they have cooled.
