Kheer, also known as payasam or payesh. usually made by boiling milk, sugar or jaggery, and rice. It can be additionally flavoured with dried fruits, nuts, cardamom and saffron. Instead of rice, it may contain cracked wheat, vermicelli, sago etc...
I made it by boiling milk, sugar, rice and coconut. This coconut payasam (kheer) is so delicious, nutritious, healthy and yummy .

I made it by boiling milk, sugar, rice and coconut. This coconut payasam (kheer) is so delicious, nutritious, healthy and yummy .
Steps

First wash the rice with two-three water and soak it for 1/2 hour. Then take milk in a pan and heat it.

Add sugar to the milk and stir until it boils, keep the gas flame low to medium, add the soaked rice and mix.

Keep stirring until the milk thickens. When the rice boils, add grated fresh coconut to the boiling pudding and keep stirring.

As the pudding starts to thicken, add cardamom powder and mix dry fruit in it, after five minutes add coconut milk and mix and after a few minutes take it off the gas.

Take the kheer in a bowl and garnish it with mixed dry fruit slices and rose petals and serve. Then a delicious, nutritious, healthy coconut kheer is ready.
