In Mumbai , Maharashtra tiffins refer to packed lunch either for schools, offices or picnics.
Children are very fussy where tiffins are concerned. They always want something that is quick to finish, eye - catching, pleasing to the palette, & at the same time stomach filling too . Mothers always worry that their children do not finish their tiffin in school or bring back the tiffin as it is . For this , we as mothers should keep in mind to cook something that is healthy & nutritious as well as tasty . It would be nice to remember that the dish we are packing in a tiffin box should not be too liquidy nor too oily , semi - dry is ok , otherwise there is a chance of it to spill out & make a mess . This goes well for both the tiffins ,for office goers & for the children too. Also it is nice to remember that the food kept in the tiffins should not be too heavy that the diners feel sleepy after the food . It should keep them satisfied & yet eager to continue their work in schools / offices .

Here is one such recipe that is quick to make & tasty too. Also you can make the dough the night before & keep it in the fridge for the next morning & all you need to do is roll the parathas & cook them . This way it becomes easier for mothers / wives / working women / single men too . So for tiffins , indulge in recipes that are quick , tasty , healthy and full of nutrients.

These parathas are filling & can be a meal by itself...... so do try them when you are at a loss & cannot decide what to give in tiffins. Both the young & elders are definitely going to enjoy them. The cold parathas also taste very good. Nowadays offices are equipped with Microwaves, so office goers can re- heat them & enjoy the warm parathas.

Note : Always put 2 parathas in children 's tiffin more as they tend to always share each other 's tiffin & as these parathas are yummy I am sure the friends will gobble up your child 's tiffin before he could even say NO.......😀😀😀
