Mix all the meatball ingredients together, form into balls, coat with flour, and fry them.

In another skillet, sauté all the vegetables until well browned. They should have a deep brown color. Add the rum and carefully flambé.

Once the vegetables are well browned, add the meatballs, pour in the broth and add the herbs. Let simmer until the sauce thickens. If you prefer a smooth sauce, blend the vegetables with the broth.
