Aarohi Watermelon is a Yellow fleshed hybrid version grown indigenously in India. The outer colour of the skin is similar to the regular Watermelon that we all enjoy eating in Summers. This particular variety is attractively Yellow from the inside instead of Red colour. The outer skin colour is Green but the inside is bright Yellow. And this is the sweetest of Watermelons. These are best enjoyed on their own because these are so sweet that there is no need of anything else to go with them. But a bit of roasted Cumin powder and Chat Masala can be sprinkled on them just before serving. It's just a serving suggestion. But as such there is no need of any other accompaniment with it.

And nowadays these are available aplenty because of the Season. Watermelon is a Summer Fruit and hence it is enjoyed the best in Season. These Aarohi Yellow Watermelons are a great treat at anytime in this hot and humid Weather conditions. These are sourced from the State of Haryana and are a good source of Citrulline that gets converted to Arginine in our body. All said and done, let's dig in right away.

  2. 2

Arrange them all on a serving platter and sprinkle chat masala and roasted cumin powder on top if using. Otherwise it's absolutely the best on it's own. As refreshing as ever. That's it.

  3. 3

Serve it chilled to your loved ones, families, friends, guests etc. I had served these for Iftaar meals in Ramadan and the fasting days in the consecutive Month as well. Enjoy!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
