Soya sticks and Chips are popular fried Indian snacks prepared from soya flour along with rice flour, gram flour and spices. This crispy and flavourful snack is not only favourite among kids but Indian spices turns this snack into best finger food. Soya sticks and chips are widely available in the market but we can prepare it at home and without any harmful preservatives, which is comparatively healthy than market bought chips and sticks. We can prepare both sticks and chips with same dough using different plates of extruder.

This crispy and flavourful snack is not only favourite among kids but Indian spices turns this snack into best finger food. Soya sticks and chips are widely available in the market but we can prepare it at home and without any harmful preservatives, which is comparatively healthy than market bought chips and sticks. We can prepare both sticks and chips with same dough using different plates of extruder.
Steps

First upon add soya flour, rice flour, gram flour and wheat flour in a big vessel. Then mix all the flours. Now add carom seeds, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, red chilli flakes, salt, oil and mix very well.

Now add water and knead medium hard dough.

Now in a small bowl add chaat masala, black salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, black pepper powder and mix very well. So our spice mix is ready and keep aside.

Now heat oil, grease extruder with oil and place chakri plate, fill with prepared dough and close the lid. Drop the sticks in a plate from the extruder.

Then deep fry them on a slow to medium flame till they become crispy. Then transfer it to a plate. Immediately sprinkle the spice mix.

For chips, place the plate with horizontal cuts and fill with dough and drop the chips and deep fry them in same way as sticks. Sprinkle spice mix once they are fried.

Once they cool down completely. Then store in an air tight container.
