Pour caramel sauce into the bottom of a serving dish. Slice 6 muffins into thin rounds and drizzle with anise liqueur.

Slice the remaining 6 muffins and drizzle with anise liqueur.

In a saucepan, add the flan mix packet and milk. Heat over medium, stirring constantly. When it starts to boil, remove from heat.

Pour the hot flan mixture over the sliced muffins. Let cool in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Once set, invert onto a plate to serve and enjoy.
