A very popular sandwich in Mexico and one of my favorites. This is my version to participate in the #DelantalCookpad2025 challenge.
Chicken Milanesa Sandwich
A very popular sandwich in Mexico and one of my favorites. This is my version to participate in the #DelantalCookpad2025 challenge.
Steps
- 1
Slice the chicken breast into four thin pieces, as thin as possible.
- 2
In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, paprika, and black pepper.
- 3
Beat the egg, then add the hot sauce and set aside for later use.
- 4
In a large skillet, add the vegetable oil and heat over medium. While the oil heats, coat the chicken slices first in the flour and spice mixture, then in the breadcrumbs.
- 5
Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken cutlets for about 6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Once all the ingredients are ready, assemble the sandwiches: slice the telera rolls in half, spread mayonnaise on both sides, add the chicken milanesa, then top with papalo, lettuce, and tomato slices.
- 7
Cut the sandwich in half and serve with your favorite chips.
