Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 cuppot barley (pearl barley for quicker)
  • 1-2 tspseasoning salt (or to taste)
  • 1-2 tspspice of choice (I use cumin seeds)
  • 1 cupbeans, TVP, peas, pumpkin seeds, or lentils

Steps

    Boil the pot barley until tender according to the package, along with spices

  2. 2

    If using beans/lentils, boil until tender according to package

  3. 3

    Mix the barley and other ingredients with seasoning salt

  4. 4

    Bake the barley and the other ingredients separately on a single layer at 380 F until golden and dry, respectively. The times may not line up. (If using TVP, you can mix in with the barley when wet and bake together)

    Serve after fully cooled!
