Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let them crackle.

Add onion, green chilli, tomato, and curry leaves. Sauté until onions soften.

Add turmeric powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

Rinse popped jowar under water, drain completely, then add to the pan.

Mix everything well and cook for 2 minutes,add coriander leaves and lemon juice mix it.

Serve topped with roasted peanuts and barik sev.
Tips
Rinsing the popped jowar helps to keep it crisp and enhances the flavor of the upma.
