Ingredients

  • 2Potatoes .... Medium Size [ Peeled , washed and diced
  • 1Onion .... Medium Size [ Diced
  • 1/2 cupMethi leaves [Chopped] *... optional .
  • 1/2 TbspJeera .. .
  • Salt .
  • 1/2 TspTurmeric ... .
  • 1 TbspOil .. .
  • 1/2 TspChilly Powder ... .
  • Water .
  • 1.5 TbspsJaggery .... powder .

Steps

  1. 1

    In a wok, heat oil and add jeera.

  2. 2

    Once it splutters, add the potatoes and just enough water that covers it.

  3. 3

    Turn the gas to medium heat.

  4. 4

    Cover and cook until the potatoes are par boiled. [Half boiled.

  5. 5

    Add the seasonings [except jaggery]  and tomatoes.

  6. 6

    Cover and cook for about 4-5 min. [You might need to add some more water.

  7. 7

    Add the methi leaves and cook for another 5 min.

  8. 8

    Add the jaggery and adjust the seasonings if need be.

  9. 9

    Serve with Rice or Bhakri.
