Mango iced tea
Mango season is on now in India. I try to enjoy it whenever I can.
Steps
- 1
In a pot, bring water to boil. Add the spices: fennel seed, cloves, cinnamon stick and the assam tea. Add the sugar as your needs. You may replace it with any black teabag.
- 2
While the tea is brewing slowly, slice the mango into cubes. Keep it aside. Brew the tea 2-3 minutes.
- 3
Strain the tea into jar and cool it down for around 2 hours.
- 4
For the mango, you may puree or blend it. I love to enjoy the small chunk of mangoes rather than puree mango.
- 5
After tea is cool down, place few ice cubes in the glass. Put in the sliced mangoes. Top it up with cold tea.
- 6
Garnish with mint leaves/sliced mango. Enjoy the taste of mango in the iced tea.
