When I go out to eat, I always order something I don’t make at home. It’s usually short ribs because I hadn’t found a great recipe for them. Now I have!
Steps
- 1
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Season ribs on all sides with 1 tsp paprika, salt, and pepper.
- 2
Add broth, wine, 1 tsp paprika, garlic, and thyme to crock pot and stir to blend. Add squash and stir to coat.
- 3
In the preheated skillet, brown the ribs on all sides, 2-3 minutes each side. Remove to crock pot. Roll the ribs through the broth mixture to coat. Cook on high 5 1/2 hours or low 8 hours.
- 4
With a slotted spoon, remove ribs and squash to bowl. Discard bones - the meat will likely have already fallen off. Skim any fat from broth mixture and add tomato paste and horseradish. Stir until blended and cover rib meat and squash with sauce. Serve over hot noodles. Enjoy!
