Ingredients

  1. 1 cupsgram flour
  2. 1 Tsppinch turmeric powder (haldi)
  3. 1/2 Tspasafoetida
  4. 2fruit salt
  5. 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  6. 1 tbspLime Juice
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. Water as required
  9. 2 tbspOil
  10. 1 tspMustard seeds
  11. 4-5curry leaves
  12. 2Green chillis or red dry chilli
  13. Coriander for garnishing
  14. Grated coconut

Steps

  1. 1

    Before making the batter for dhokla, grease dhokla tray with oil and put on the steamer to make sure it's completely hot while putting dhokla in it.

    Now seive besan with turmeric, hing, salt.

  3. 3

    Add water to make it pan cake thick batter. Add lime juice and keep batter aside for 15 mins

  4. 4

    When you are ready to put tray in steamer add baking soda. Slowly mix it and immidiatly pour it in tray. And put tray in steamer.

  5. 5

    While dhokla is cooking, we'll make tadka for it. Heat oil. Add musturd seeds, curry leaves, chillis, hing in it. Once you start smelling aroma of tadka switch of the flame.

  6. 6

    In half cup of water add 2 tbsp of sugar. Disolve sugar in it. Now fill this water in spray bottle.

  7. 7

    In 15 mins dhokla will be ready. Spray sweet water on it and let it get obsorb. Now spread tadka on it. Garnish it with coriander and grated coconut. Serve it with green chutney
