I managed to cook some mokimo yesterday. this traditional meal consist of mainly maize, potatoes, and vegetables. though it takes and energy when mashing its worth it.

Prepare the pumkin leaves by breaking off the stalk. make sure they are soft young leaves to prevent them having strings

Put the peas, potatoes and maize in the cooking pan at once. cook the potatoes whole do not chop them up
- 3
Add enough water to cover the potatoes, add the pumpkin leaves and cover them up
- 4
Then put to boil for aroung 30 minutes do not stir.

Drain excess water, add salt and blueband. Mash it using a wooden stick. Mash until soft serve with stew preferably beef stew.
