Shrimp paste is salty in flavour and has a strong preserved shrimp smell. Its a seasoning used in cooking vege, chicken and meat. We use Lee Kum Kee brand for steaming with pork belly and this dish is savoury, salty and sweet, goes well with white rice. It is one of my favorite dish and everytime I have this must add more rice! It's not that clear where this salted egg craze first began, but I first heard about it some ten years ago with potato chips from Singapore, and many of the extant recipes for it that I've found seem to indicate an origin in Singaporean Chinese cuisine. While the craze sorta peaked a few years ago, dishes like this remain popular throughout Southeast Asia. 🇸🇬🐖🥚 蛟龍Stormwyrm -

Grilled Pork with Fish Sauce Grilled Pork with Fish Sauce
I love shio-buta (salt-cured pork), but adjusting the amount of salt is difficult. So I tried using nam pla for the marinade, and it went very well and the result was delicious. After marinating (or abandoning it?) for a week, it became really nice.It starts to mature after 3 days, so please let it marinate for at least that long. Please adjust the cooking time and temperature depending on your oven.I used the "two-way heat" setting on my oven, which doesn't require preheating. For about 10 slices. Recipe by Nekoyanagi shouten cookpad.japan -
Steamed Minced Pork with Egg Steamed Minced Pork with Egg
This is so delicious and simple. It’s a real comfort food and can be a one-dish meal if you add in additional vegetables :) I intentionally didn’t add any salt to the pork mince as the shoyu on top was so sufficient for us. Gem -
