Prefer grilled chops, as fried ones can be a bit heavy. I haven't tried it, but I believe it would be very nice with coconut milk instead of cream and with plenty of curry for a more ethnic result.

Ingredients

30 Minutes
4 people
  • 4pork neck chops
  • 1 packagefresh potato gnocchi (found in the refrigerated section of supermarkets)
  • 1wedge blue cheese
  • 1small container low-fat heavy cream
  • 1egg, well beaten
  • salt, pepper
  • 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  • 1little olive oil & aromatic herbs for marinating the meat

30 Minutes
  1. 1

    Marinate the chops with the herbs and oil, and keep them covered in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

  2. 2

    Then grill them until golden brown on a grill, over coals, or in a pan with 1 teaspoon olive oil.

    In a non-stick saucepan, boil the gnocchi following the package instructions.

  4. 4

    Drain the gnocchi very well.

  5. 5

    In the same saucepan, heat the heavy cream.

  6. 6

    When it starts to boil, add the cheese and stir well until it melts.

  7. 7

    Add salt and pepper to taste.

  8. 8

    Remove the saucepan from the heat.

  9. 9

    Beat the egg very well and then add it to the sauce, stirring vigorously to prevent curdling.

  10. 10

    Return the saucepan to the heat for 1 minute, just enough to pasteurize the egg.

  11. 11

    Remove it again, and once the boiling subsides, add the gnocchi and mix well with a slotted spoon.

    Serve hot.
