Remove excess fat from from the beef

Cut into 2cm (inch)square piece

Fry quickly into hot fat until slightly brown

Add roughly cut onion and carrot and continue frying to a golden colour

After 3 to 5 minutes add potatoes and continue frying

Add the flour and mix in single in the oven or brown on top of the stove for a few minute or use the previously browned flour

Add the tomato puree and stir in with a wooden spoon

Gradually add the stock,stir to the boil skim

Add the garlic season and cover with a lid,simmer gently until cooked,approximately one and half to two hours
